I was in the mood for some New York style pizza and my friend Adam said lets try Marios. I had not been to Marios but I love “Authentic” style food so I was all about it. When you first walk in you can’t help but to notice the huge mural of New York City skyline featuring the World Trace Center buildings. I enjoy seeing those and remembering how it use to look. The next thing that hits you is the smell of Italian favorites like pizza, pasta and much garlic!! The menu is very simple in so much as you first decide if it’s going to be pizza or pasta your going to have. I chose pizza and got two slices. The first one I had was a slice of pepperoni and then i followed up with a slice of mushroom. I have worked for a NY style pizza place and I think I have a pretty good idea of the standard pizza crust that defines the style. I felt that Mario’s was pretty darn close to what I have come to know think NY style to be. I like the fact that they were not heavy on the sauce and that there pepperoni was flavorful on its own. I was a little disappointed in the mushrooms they chose for there pizza and could tell they were out of can. I love fresh mushrooms over the can variety. I would say all and all Marios is really good and that it’s a good deal for the quality of the food. Keep up the good work Mario Crew!!!

The Gyros are excellent, but my favorite is the Souvlaki plate. It is Souvlaki served on a bed of rice and some pita bread. My wifes favorite is the Orgenato Chicken Plate. Its half a chicken that is rubbed with olive oil and oregeno then baked to prefection. Its served with potato’s and a salad. Dont forget the great coneys with cheese.

Its was a monday night and we were craving some American Bistro type food and my wife said lets go to the brook. I have been there a few times for lunch never for dinner so it was going to be a treat. I got there 15 mins earlier than my wife and I sat down with the girls. The hostest was very nice and greated us right away. We had are table in mins and was ask what we would have to drink very promptly. (GREAT SERVICE!). Once Kerri showed up she looked through the menu and found what she wanted. I ordered the Bufflo Tenders with a side of fries and she ordered the Bufflo Chicken Sandwich with fries aswell. We also got a childrens tender meal with a side of mac and cheese and for the other child we got a cup of Chicken Tortia Soup. I can only tell you that my tenders were prefect and there bufflo sauce spice with a hint of sweet. I liked it very much. My portion was more than I could eat so I took home the doggie box with 2 tenders in it. I must addmit I tasted the mac and cheese and loved it!!!

Well if we’re going to start this thing, lets start off with a bang! Copelands is located in Broken Arrow, on 71st Street (or W. Kenosha St). It’s long name is Copeland Spirit of New Orleans which gives a hint at the type of food they serve. Because Danny loves a good steak, Copelands has quickly become his new favorite restaurant for a good (although pricey) steak. I, on the other hand, love pasta so this place works great for us, they have a fabulous shrimp and tasso pasta that is to die for. The portions are moderate (not too big and not too small) and the flavor is out of this world (not for the wimpy or those lacking working taste buds). It’s a fairly large building so your not stuffed in there like sardines and it’s a great place for an anniversary dinner or first date (meaning it’s dark and uses real cloth napkins so you’d better dress up a bit!). I will say too, if you need a good place to have a stout drink, try Copelands hurricane. It may only cost 6.99 but I’m pretty sure they use at least 20 bucks worth of liquor in that thing! This is probably not the place to take kids if you can help it, but they do have a kids menu. We’ve only been there for dinner but it looks as though they have a pretty decent Sunday Brunch menu, I’m sure we’ll be doing that sometime and will fill you in!
